As a photographer and an artist, I have more pictures than I could ever use. I can’t stand to put them in frames and place them on a mantle. It’s just not me. I decided to start using my family pictures as art, and soon “filled” up the house with personalized pictures of my loved ones, just like the framed ones on the mantle, but with a totally artistic approach. If you ever get to see the inside of our house, we have personalized art in every room, including bathrooms!
Below are two examples of how this could look. We use either prints on foam board or on a canvas. A canvas is, off course, nicer and more durable than a foam board print. While the one pictured first is not my family, it is one that I have had the honor of photographing two years in a row. The second one is above my bed!
