Eric’s Headshots at Lafayette Village

Several years ago I had the honor of photographing Josephine and Chris’s wedding at Haywood Hall in Raleigh, NC. Since then, I have done her maternity photos, and am eagerly waiting to photograph their new little bundle of joy! In the meantime, Josephine, who owns Specline Consulting, has had us do headshots for her employees. This is a few from the most recent session, taken at Lafayette Village in Raleigh.

Eric’s Headshots

A beautiful day and a beautiful model at the Umstead Inn in Cary, North Carolina. We met with Eric to do his Head shots for a possible job. He needed them to be simple, so we went for a nice outdoor backdrop and two changes of clothes. The Umstead Inn provided the background, and we used the afternoon sun and a softbox for lighting.

Downtown Raleigh in the snow~Lisa’s photo shoot.

My friend Lisa and I go back quite some years, we used to attend the same church. Lisa is a very gifted musician. She plays the piano and her voice is beautiful. She is also the mother of two sons, Alex and Jordan. Jordan is a cancer survivor at the young age of 13 . He was diagnosed with leukemia when he was 5 years old. Lisa is now part of an organization called Music 4 Hope, and helped launching their “2010 Celebration Album”, available in stores, on iTunes and on their web page. Stew Jason, the Founder of Music 4 Hope says: “Our mission is to bring music into the lives of children and their families experiencing life threatening diseases. Our first charity project last year benefited the NC Children’s Promise which raised over $1,000,000.00. Ok that’s a hard number to match, but everything that m4h is involved with during the year touches the lives of friends one dollar at a time and one smile at a time.” The shoot was done on Fayetteville Street Mall,in Downtown Raleigh, NC. We started shooting just when it REALLY started to snow. Lisa did a great job, I think she enjoyed hanging out in the snow, despite her hair slowly loosing the curls.
