Downtown Raleigh Architectural Photo Shoot at the RBC Tower

Back in November, we had the privilege of  doing an architectural shoot at the RBC PLaza Condos in Downtown Raleigh.   The residence was designed by Lee Tripi  of  Lee Tripi Design.   I personally wanted to go and do the shoot, just so I could drool over the architecture and the view, but since Martin IS the architect, it only seemed right to send him.   I think he did an amazing job at capturing the incredible design, as well as the breathtaking view.  What do you think?

Enjoy the highlights!

My recent Architectural Shoot

Hey all.

It’s been a while since I posted anything on this here blog. Well, I just wanted to update a shoot that I did before we went overseas in July. As you may have read at the beginning of this blog page, I ‘v been in the architectural field for 20 years now, and I never really thought about  doing an architectural shoot ever.

So, my boss (no, not Gina) the principal of IBIGroup, asked me to “take some pictures” of the Dempsey Benton Waterplant in Garner. I gladly accepted, it would be my first architectural shoot, and I would even get paid for it.  The next day I paid a visit to our friends at Southeastern Camera and rented a tilt-shift lens, had them explain it to me, and went out to the site at 4:30 am. I wanted to make sure that the light was right and I’d be there at dawn. I later did a picture series at dusk, too.

I am really happy with the result and I hope I get to do some more jobs like this one.

See you next time,

Martin
